406.40 A flight training unit that operates an aeroplane or a helicopter shall establish and comply with policies and procedures to ensure that an aircraft is not operated unless it is (a) airworthy; (b) appropriately equipped, configured and maintained for its intended use; and (c) maintained in accordance with the flight training unit’s maintenance control manual.
